Hello Ladies,
I am wondering if anyone knows how much, if any, Tricare Prime covers for Vision exams and contact lenses?

Also, technically, the contact exams are not covered either so be careful of that when you go to your optician.

(I say technically because SOME opticians will do the contact exam/fitting in addition to your regular eye exam, but not all.)

if you have eye issues that require visual field tests or pictures to be taken of your eye - as long as your eye dr. takes care of it correctly with tricare - those will likely be covered as well.

Because of my family history and my eyes, I'm a "pre-glaucoma" risk - and my current eye dr. made sure that note was passed on to tricare. With that I've gotten a visual field done and pictures taken of my eyes every other year - which is pretty much necessary considering my family history (which includes 2 retinal detatchments from 2 people on my maternal side among other things)
