I want to hear from someone with some recent experience. How is it in area 1? How is it living off base since they don't provide on post housing for families. and most importantly how long after submitting the paperwork did the command sponsorship take?? any information is greatly appreciated! thankss

hi there, well my hubby recently got an assignment for korea @ humphreys, and im goin through the motions of everything just like you are. i may not be much help right now but i would not mind conversating with someone going through the same process as i am. maybe be each others internet support .anyways i think you should get alot of answers at the levy brief especially on command sponsorship. gaing command sponsor ship could be a bit hard but from my understanding it is not a hard process as long as paper work is filled out correctly and there are no preexisting issues. we are looking forward to goin but it all depends on if we get command sponsored. i have 2 kids and will not be going if we dont get the sponsorship, although i am yearning to go so bad. i too would love to hear about recent experiences. so did u guys send out your sponsorship paper work already?

Hey! We aren't at Casey, but DH is stationed at Stanley which is about a 40 minute but ride away. DH has been here since August and DS and I came in October. We are actually not CS so our experience is just a bit different. We do love our apartment though! The apartments here are really nice. You can go to YouTube and search and there are a lot of video tours that families have done for their families back home, it will give you an idea. We really enjoy Korea. Your experience will be what you make it. I know that sounds cheesy but if you choose to sit at home and not get out then you will probably hate it. We actually really enjoy Korea. They (the Koreans) LOVE children and DS eats up all the attention.
